(You can be behind the wheel of a racecar like the one driven by our man Todd Buras).
Some people race to promote a product, others simply to achieve all they can. Research Racing is using the SCCA Pro Racing Mazda MX-5 Cup to increase awareness about pancreatic cancer and the Patty Boshell Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (www.pancreaticcure.org).
This on-going event called “Drive to Survive” will visit every Mazda MX-5 Cup venue and city this year. See the schedule at www.MX-5cup.com.
The main goal is to raise awareness and money. The money is then donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org). They are a nationwide organization dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by this awful disease.
Research Racing joined forces with Hooverspeed of Cameron Park, CA to prepare the car and hired driver Todd Buras to bring on track excitement and attention to the effort.

Why are we doing this? Pancreatic Cancer kills.
> This year 37,000 people will be diagnosed and over 34,000 will die.
> It is the 4th leading cause of cancer death overall and the 3rd leading cause of cancer death in men ages 40-59.
> It receives the least amount of funding for research of all the leading cancer killers.
> There is no cure.
Contest Rules
2008 Drive To Survive
MX-5 Cup
1. No purchase or donation is required to enter (but always appreciated. Donate here.
2. To enter you must be 18 years old.
3. Entry deadline is midnight August 3rd, 2008.
4. Participants will guess how many points the Research Racing, Hooverspeed car driven by Todd Buras and sporting the www.pancreaticcure.org, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network livery will score in the 2008 MX-5 Cup season.
5. Should this driver be replaced, fail to make a race, or fail to finish the season - judging will be based on points earned up to and including the last event entered by Todd Buras.
6. Following the entry deadline up to 100 contest entries (depending on total entries) will be randomly selected to be in the final judging.
7. These finalists will be notified by email.
8. After the final race in the MX 5 Cup season a winner will be declared based on comparing actual points earned by Todd Buras to the closest guess by the finalist(s).
9. Points are scored in whole digits only. No fractions allowed.
10. In case of a tie a drawing will be held on November 1st, 2008 to determine the final winning entry.
